Approaching the work of Pablo Flaiszman inevitably leads to the anguish of contemporary man. Anxiety and sorrow are like grotesque anatomies which, far from sublimating the human form, reveal to us the anguish of the heart, the absence of explanation for the eternal problems of man. Beyond the dramatic aspect of his works one can observe his play with contrast and his extraordinary sensitivity of line and form in his drawings. His works are an intelligent exaltation; his reduced human forms are the basis of his theme and the source of his expression.
